What Doesn't Matter

What doesn't matter is how I dress -
With granny pants and big, baggy shirts.
What doesn't matter is how I look -
With no makeup to mar the true beauty of my face.
What doesn't matter is how I talk -
With shy and quiet words.
What doesn't matter is how I think -
With never-before-thought-of ideas.
What doesn't matter is what people may say of me -
With people forever gossiping.
What doesn't matter is what people think of me -
Because i already know what I think of myself.
But what matters is...
What I say, what I think, what I do.
What matters is...
What I believe, what I love, what I hate.
What matters is...
What I know, what I want to know, how I act.
What matters is...
Not what other people think or do or say,
But what I have done...
To make the world I live in be a place worthy of life and living.
